Apparently there are many stories of miracles been attributed to Pope John Paul II's intercession, but at least one in particular is been carefully studied. "The Roman news agency I Media has learned that a French nun who was dying of cancer experienced a sudden and complete cure in October, after the members of her community prayed for the intercession of the late Pope John Paul. In accordance with Vatican rules, the identity of the nun is not being revealed, as doctors conduct a thorough study of her case. If a miracle is confirmed, it would speed the cause for the Polish Pontiff's beatification. "
I wouldn't be surprised if such a holy man is already helping hundreds of people all over the world. Although I always loved our Pope, I seem to be growing in affection and interest in him with every month that passes. I already have a few books in my que to read and learn more about him.
Here is the official prayer of intercession for him...
O Blessed Trinity,
We thank You for having graced the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of Your fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with You.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among Your saints.
Amen.
