This week at work I saw a man that had a badge holder with the W.W.J.D (What would Jesus do?) reminder. This got me thinking. How well do I know what Jesus would do in many of my decisions throughout the day? How conscious am I of His spirit and His perspective? I read and study a lot about Christian themes: Scriptures, sacraments, social teaching, pastoral issues, doctrine, liturgy, etc. I pray and meditate daily. But I feel that I can do more to immerse myself in the life, mind, and spirit of Jesus.
Between now and May I have a lot of work to do to finalize my Masters work and graduate. A lot of it will be focused on Social Justice, which is actually one of the closest topics to what Jesus taught and did, and the theology of immigration. I hope after May to devote a considerable amount of study and focus on Jesus, the man and the God. I wonder if anyone can share good books (besides the Gospels) on this topic? Thanks.
