In Part 1 of this series we went over the seven steps of a process that can help us accomplish our goals and realize our dreams. In part 2 we'll talk about living our life on purpose. There is nothing more important in life than to live with a sense of purpose. There is nothing more exhilarating than to see how God has given us the gifts and experiences to live our calling. Only when we tie our goals and activities to our purpose and values do we have a chance to make a profound impact. Let's explore what is involved in discovering our purpose.
Today I had a frustrating and draining day at work. The reason? Lack of commitment to the goals we had "agreed to." Today I observed how frustrating life can be when we say we commit to things, but we really don't. I also observed the power of commitment in achieving things.
It is inevitable that we will face adversities in life. They may be related to missing a flight, learning that our child is sick, or us being diagnosed with cancer. Many times our anxiety takes over and we begin to catastrophize. We wake up in the middle of the night thinking about a chain of disastrous events that we believe will happen and then we get even more anxious. There's help.
